AU History:

Elize will have been born and raised in Refuge. However, when she was still young, just a few years of age, her parents were killed. Due to the sheer shock of it, Elize doesn't really recall any of what happened. She just...knew that her parents were gone. She was taken in by an older man who sort of acted as a guardian to her as she grew up.

Even so, Elize was just so lonely. She didn't have the social skills to interact normally with other children, so she had no friends. This changed when her guardian brought her a Shuppet, a Pokémon not normally found in Refuge. Oddly enough, she managed to bond with it incredibly quickly, and her bond transcended simple friendship. The two seemed to complete each other, complementing the other perfectly. While she'd hoped that maybe it'd help her make more friends, it was actually the opposite. Teepo's outrageous, somewhat boisterous personality was...quite a contrast to most, cracking jokes and things like that. As such, she was shunned by most, only making her even lonelier. No matter what though, she still had Teepo to keep her company.

What time she had to herself (well, with Teepo's company), she spent learning to control her Enlightened abilities, as well as contemplating her life and what she knew about the world. Which was...very little, to be honest. She wanted something better for herself, for Teepo. Anything had to be better than being shunned by everyone, right?

This was her life up until recently, where Refuge was discovered by the people of Union. With the knowledge that there were more people than she'd been lead to believe, more of the world that she could see for herself, Elize...ran away from Refuge with Teepo to see about finding a better place for herself, and maybe...just maybe, make some new friends.


Canon Personality:

Elize is...a very shy girl. Little interaction with others, and the negative interaction she has had led to her being an introverted little thing. As such, she's cautious around new people or things, not to mention fairly quiet. She has a hard time trusting people, unsure as to what their intentions might be, whether or not they're just another bully or someone else who might mean her harm. She doesn't really speak unless spoken to or she feels she really has to. That said, although she's not very great at social interaction, she really does want to make friends. She's lonely, and even her bond with Teepo can only lessen that so much.

While shy, those that do manage to get her to open up have a good friend. Elize is a very kind individual, always looking for ways to help and be useful to her friends. She's unsure of her capabilities to protect them sometimes, but she'll put her all into doing what she can, even if it's a bit risky for herself. She holds her friends very dear, and is terrified to lose them, to be all alone again.

Being an intelligent girl, it's only natural that Elize is very inquisitive. If there's something she doesn't know, she'll ask about it. She's very willing to learn, even if it's something very simple! Every skill has its own uses, so the more she knows, the more helpful she can be. Of course, being so curious and not having as much of a proper education as she'd like, Elize is a bit naive. However, if something is blatantly obviously not true, she'll figure it out quickly, but other things, maybe not so much.

Elize isn't always a sweet, adorable little girl, though. She's definitely known to show sarcasm and make wise remarks, although mostly after she warms up a little towards people. Not having much most of her life, she's also somewhat jealous of what other people have. Friends, family, belongings, all things she wishes she could have herself. She's...been known to hold grudges as well. If you lie, betray, or otherwise hurt her, she will very definitely hold it against you and she'll keep that grudge going until she believes there's no reason to anymore.

A big part of Elize is her doll, Teepo. She's sort of mentally/emotionally connected to it. As such, his emotions are really just a mirror of her own. However, more often than not, Teepo shows off the personality traits that she herself isn't brave enough to show. Like being outspoken, or being able to crack jokes. You can bet that if Elize doesn't say something, Teepo will.



AU Deviation:

Elize will be much more like she was in the beginning of her canon, shy and distrustful of others, as she had no friends, no real allies to speak of. Of course, she will eventually open up with the right CR, but don't expect it to happen instantly. Otherwise, she's pretty much the same as she is in canon, just without any established relationships.

Canon Abilities:

Elize is a pretty talented mage in canon. She has a wide variety of magical abilities called artes that she can use offensively, or to aid her companions. List of Artes here.

Teepo is a Booster. An item that amplifies the abilities of an individual. Combined with Elize's magic, Teepo pretty much took on a life of his own, able to attack, speak, and act in tandem with Elize when she uses her artes.


Enlightened Abilities:

Elize will be a Psychic/Dark type Enlightened with the Egg Mastery perk.

Elize will retain her Artes, but they will simply be modified attacks. For example, her Recover and Dispel artes remove negative status effects. This is similar to the move Heal Bell. However, before she evolves, her Recover arte would only be able to target one ally, while Dispel removes it from all (which she'd obtain sometime after evolving.)

She will also be limited as to how many artes she can use, having a much, much lower PP than standard moves would be. Her novice artes for example, might have a PP of 8, while her intermediate artes might only have 5, and her most advanced ones only 3. This is because they aren't just simple copies of attacks, but rather modified attacks.

Elize's appearance will not change as she evolves. However, her Sp. Atk and Sp. Def stats will be her biggest assets, with speed coming in a close third. Her Def, Atk, and HP aren't up quite as high.

Weapon: Elize wields an Enhanced wand with the Psychic typing. It's pretty much just a stat stick that gives her a Sp. Atk boost. It also allows her to focus and channel her own psychic energies much easier than without it.

Starter Pokémon:

Shuppet ♂ - Teepo

Notes/Special Considerations:

It's not a normal starter, but I would like Elize to start off with a Shuppet as Teepo.

They would already be bonded, and share a sort of mental link. What one thinks/feels, the other does too. Maybe this could be some sort of long lost bloodline thing or something. Teepo himself shows off the personality traits that Elize normally keeps hidden, that she's too shy to show herself.
